Recent research in Switzerland shows that green roofs increase the biodiversity of bugs in urban areas, particularly bugs that crawl but don’t fly. But for flying bugs, especially bees, green roofs may be even more important – providing a great way for them to connect to more ecosystems, and more food sources.
